Service-Flow and Tieto to expand cooperation in the Nordics

Tiina Eronen  |  May 9th, 2017

Service-Flow and the leading Nordic IT provider Tieto are expanding their cooperation which will enable Tieto to provide selected Service-Flow integration services to its customers across the Nordics with high efficiency and proven quality.

Service-Flow, a Finnish integration service provider, has developed and provided a SaaS solution for IT- service providers and their clients since 2011. The cooperation will enhance and strengthen Tieto’s SIAM (Service integration and management) capabilities and help its customers to leverage the opportunities of open ecosystems and co-innovation in a simplified and efficient way.

“We have been working in close cooperation with Tieto since 2014. Service Integration and Management (SIAM), and multi-sourcing are significant emerging trends within the management and outsourcing of business services. Our solution is changing the way companies manage their multi-sourced environments and the way SIAM is implemented. Now that SIAM has become reality, we are excited about Tieto choosing the Service-Flow solution as an integrated part of their SIAM offering” says Service-Flow CEO and co-founder Juha Berghäll.

As the data-driven world advances, businesses continuously find new and innovative ways to leverage technology. To maximize benefits of different types of services and solutions and minimize dependence on any one single technology and vendor, organizations are increasingly choosing to work with multiple providers.

Research conducted by analyst company IDC on behalf of (https://www.tieto.com/news/nordic-organizations-lack-a-coordinated-overv…) Tieto shows that more than a third (37 %) of large enterprises and organizations in the Nordics have more than 10 IT services suppliers. Managing a rising number of providers and cloud based services in a simple and efficient way is a challenge for many businesses and needs good integration of the service processes and configuration data.

We see that multi-supplier environments are increasing at our customers. As a result, it is becoming continuously more complex to provision IT and business services due to higher integration needs. To stay focused on their core business, our customers have started to look for efficient ways to manage their supplier eco-systems. By using Tieto’s SIAM approach, organisations will increase their service efficiency, improve continuity, reduce time to market and improve agility. There is a substantial measurable business value to be gained says Patrik Ekström, VP Technology Services and Modernization at Tieto.
